Masson three-color staining solution is the staining method of
connective tissue in the commonest use. It is used to observe
hyperplasia and distribution of fibrous connective tissue in
tissues subject to pathological changes, identify fibrous tumor
and myogenic tumor. It is of important value to distinguish
alcoholic cirrhosis, postnecrotic cirrhosis and the level of
cirrhosis.
